Goodwood Model Park

Where is the model park?
137 Howard Road
Goodwood

What is there?
The park has an asphalt r/c car track. A building on site serves as a meeting room, currently with two model railway layouts.

The building is available to all members and affiliated groups for modelling related uses.

Model Car Track
The model car racing track was installed for and is operated by the Southern Tasmanian Model Car Club.

Club Room
The building is regularly used by a number of affiliated groups including Hobart Model Railway Group, the Third Thursday Group and the British Rail Modellers Association.

For more information about the car track and the operation of the various users, check the Affiliated Groups page.

A noise level of 90 decibels at 3 metres has been set for all operating Models on the Model Park. Models powered by internal combustion engines are not permitted.

It is unlikely that any more than thirty or forty people are likely to be at the park at any one time but there will be the occasion of perhaps a State Championship that will bring more. On these occasions Council has given us permission to use the car park on the corner of Howard Rd. and Negara Cres.

Council has set our operating times from 9am to 6pm daily.

The MMACA is an incorporated body and has full Public Liability Insurance in place for members using the Model Park.
